Setting-up of Agro-School «Arstan»

Description of project:

Concept, strategy and structure of agro-school were developed. Training methodology and programs, monitoring and evaluation systems were formulated and set up. Lecturers, experts, trainers were selected. All necessary documentation to run the Agro-School was developed. As a result of the project an effective farmer development system was established in ADB pilot regions which served as alternative to Rural Consulting Service. The Agro-School provided more than 100 practical consultations, trained 40 farmer-leaders.

 

Activities included:

  1. Diagnosis of current rural consulting and education systems;
  2. Diagnosis of farmer qualification levels;
  3. Design of agro education and consulting services;
  4. Search for partners, experts – trainers and consultants;
  5. Design of educational and consulting products;
  6. Selection of pilot villages and mechanisms for beneficiary selection;
  7. Pilot training programs;
  8. Internships and training field visits;
  9. Development of budget management system;

Description of actual services:

  1. Development of concept paper and strategy of the Agro-School,
  2. Design of organizational structure,
  3. Development of training methodology and documentation,
  4. Development of monitoring and evaluation system.
